Every Task MUST have a Response Type, this indicates what form will be shown to the Traveler when they complete the Task.
Selecting the Response Type determines what input fields are shown to the Traveler. Read on to see all the options.
There are 9 pre-set Task Response Types:
1. Checkbox (Done)
Select this type when you're providing information and just need confirmation that it has been reviewed or completed.
Attaching a document or resource is typical with this type of Task, but not required.
2. Radio Button (Yes/No)
Select this type when you need a Yes or No answer. You can always ask for clarification to be entered into the optional message input box below.
3. Select all that apply
Select this type when you want to offer custom options to pick from and allow the Traveler to specify more than one. The Planner must enter the options when setting up the task.
These will appear as check boxes to the Traveler.
4. Select only one value
Select this type when you want to offer custom options to pick from and allow the Traveler to select ONLY ONE option. The Planner must enter the options when setting up the task.
This can be useful for add-ons in combination with Require Planner Review + Notify Main Contact. If there's an extra charge, include that in the instructions and adjust the personalized price.
These will appear as radio button options to the Traveler.
5. Date picker only
Select this type when you need to know just a date.
6. Date + time picker
Select this type when you need to know the date and time.
This type works well with the "Enable optional document upload(s)" when asking for flight arrival times and asking for the itinerary to be attached as well.
Travelers will then be provided with the option to ADD FILE in addition to providing the date and time requested.
7. Input box (Comment)
Select this type when you need a long or short answer to a question that doesn't have a fixed set of answers or you just want some feedback.
This type works well with the "Enable optional document upload(s)" in case they have photos or documents to include in the response.
Travelers will then be provided with the option to ADD FILE in addition to answering the question.
8. Document(s) Upload
Select this type when you REQUIRE at least one document to be uploaded. Travelers can upload more than one, but cannot complete unless at least one document is attached.
Current supported upload types are: PDF, PNG, JPG
This type is good for copies of travel insurance policies, flight bookings or waiver forms.
9. Passport form + Upload
This is a very useful type that prompts Travelers for all the details + requires them to upload a copy of their passport. So they do the data entry for you, but you can double check.
Often used together with Notify Main Contact and always essential for international trips.
Can I build my own form with other fields and sub-sections?
If the above pre-set options don't meet your needs, then you'll need to select Custom Form so you can build your own forms from your own fields, headers and instructions.
